Nigerian actress, Caroline Hutchings has announced her decision to withdraw from featuring in the reality show, Real Housewives of Lagos, stating that the experience has become tiring.

Revealing her personal feelings towards reality TV, the actress has shared her views in a social media post noting how the reality show has impacted her personal life.

The actress revealed that she loves her space and has described her association with the cast of RHOL as not one of friendship. Caroline has stated that she loves surrounding herself with people whose energy aligns with hers.

Despite her popularity in the reality show, the actress said that her participation in the reality show has changed her public perception. She alleged that people have redefined her identity due to her participation on the reality show.

According to her, she has chosen to prioritize her peace and self space as she steps away from reality television.

She wrote:

“The curtain closes on RHOL

Before RHOL, there was Carolyna the actress. Carolyna the producer. Carolyna the storyteller.

For over two decades, I have worked, created, and built in this industry with over 60 movies, award-winning productions, and now 10 movies in the pipeline with an incredible team of writers, producers, crew, and actors.

Our work, our sacrifices, and our creativity deserve to stand on their own.

I have entertained you through RHOL, just as I have entertained you through the many movies I have been privileged to be part of. But reality television is one chapter, not the definition of my career or my reality.

So, officially, I am closing this chapter.

Thank you for the love, the support and every moment shared along the way.

Now back to what I have always been ~a filmmaker, an actress, and a storyteller.”
